چکیده
The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte (MLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR), and systemic immune-inflammatory index (SIRI, neutrophils × monocytes/lymphocytes) have been described as potential blood-derived inflammatory biomarkers in several diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis is an disease that has related to increased risk of cardiovascular (CV) disease. In the present work, we analyze how these hematological composite scores inflammation are classic CV factors subclinical atherosclerosis patients with RA. this cross-sectional study included 430 RA, NLR, MLR, PLR, SIRI were calculated. Multivariable analysis was performed examine relationships blood carotid traditional factors, producing a complete profile lipid molecules insulin resistance or indices beta-cell function, Systematic Coronary Risk Assessment (SCORE2) calculation. C-reactive protein activity significantly positively associated four scores. SCORE2 higher values SIRI, but not PLR. These maintained when SCORE 2 considered categorical; very high category had all scores, except multivariable analysis, NLR independently levels beta cell dysfunction. conclusion, correlated addition, there some their association dysfunction being most consistent.

Subclinical atherosclerosis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
We performed a systematic review with meta-analysis and meta-regression of literature studies evaluating the impact of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) on common carotid artery intima-media thickness (CCAIMT) and on the prevalence of carotid plaques. Studies evaluating the relationship between RA and markers of cardiovascular (CV) risk (CCA-IMT and prevalence of carotid plaques) were systematically se...
متن کاملHDL cholesterol efflux capacity in rheumatoid arthritis patients: contributing factors and relationship with subclinical atherosclerosis
BACKGROUND Lipid profiles appear to be altered in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients because of disease activity and inflammation. Cholesterol efflux capacity (CEC), which is the ability of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol to accept cholesterol from macrophages, has been linked not only to cardiovascular events in the general population but also to being impaired in patients with RA. The ai...
متن کاملSubclinical atherosclerosis and history of cardiovascular events in Italian patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Several studies have pointed out a significant association between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and accelerated atherosclerosis. At the best of our knowledge, no such study has been carried out in a large Italian series and, in this study, we aimed to investigate the prevalence of both subclinical atherosclerosis and history of cardiovascular events (CVEs), in patients consecutively admitted from ...
متن کاملSpecific Markers of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli VBNC in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis
Background and purpose: Recent studies suggest that the viable but nonculturable (VBNC) bacteria could cause inflammatory diseases. The aim of this study was to detect and investigate the expression of nuc and rfbE genes in blood samples of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Materials and methods: In this experimental study, 102 blood samples were collected from patients with RA and univ...
